RUCKUS!
Last year when Mark and Amrafel introduce me to this scooter fad that they were doing and I thought it was just plain retarded but anything those two touches becomes a trend. And anything they do, they go way over the top.

Mark Fatlace brought his scooter at our DriftxBattle events last year and I rode it around and I was HOOK but I still wasn’t going to spend a few grand on a stupid scooter.
Anything moped / small bike to me was a little gay. I mean why not get a bike and you can go much faster right?
The beginning of 2007 we were going to have over 8 drift events here in Norcal and I wanted to find a way to get around events and my first thought was to buy a moped. I started looking around and I found this ugly looking Honda moped for $200 bucks. Can’t beat that for a beater right? Well Afro started linking me on CL for Ruckuses, there was a few on sale and he found one for $900 bucks around my hood and even for $900 I was against of spending that much money.
But I bought it anyways, after all it was just for events and it was better than walking around and organizing the events but you’re not going to see me with this stupid scooter on the street. Its like fucking a fat chick, you don’t want your friends to see you hitting a fat chick but fat chick needs lovin’ too!
After I got the Ruckus it was actually hit and had a bent rim. Afro was nice enough to hook me up with some stock steelies that he had laying around.
Then he took me for a ride along with his friend Jason in SF…
After this ride, I was hook. I know I wasn’t going to get caught up riding an ugly Ruckus, so I needed to get some shit to make it a little ok.
Then he link me to all his Japan trip and all this dope ass Ruckus and what you can do with it.

The last thing I want is wait for JDM parts from Japan for a stupid scooter. Turns out that Battle Scooter was just a block from my work! I was really excited about it because you can fully mod this scooter 100% and it looks better than most of the other scooters.
I went out there the next day and bought all kinds of goodies.
Later on that night, we had a late night wrenching and it was a little bit of UGH at first working on a stupid scooter when we need to work on our race cars.
After taking all that plastic crap, I wasn’t happy with the result. It had this frame that’s unpainted and it just looks crappy as fuck.
The next day…
That looks a lot cleaner right?
Ill take a few recent shot this weekend. It’s looks completely different now.
I told all my friends… This is the next big thing. Just wait for a couple of months, everyone will be getting one and I was right, a few of my friends in the car industry got one.
I went from “Fuck that moped shit” to “Damn, this shit is fucking fun as fuck”. It totally grew on me and I ride my Ruckus to work daily now. Saving about $60 bucks a week for gas.
It’s like when you were a kid and you wanted a motorcycle but too young to have one. This is it, it’s like being a kid again.
